ABOUT ME
Where is Pemilyland?
When I was a little girl and had done something a bit cheeky my mum would exclaim "Emily Pemily!" So it became my nickname that has stuck and my friends still call me Pemily. When I get lost in creating my artwork I feel like I have gone to Pemilyland, a place where wonky wild flowers grow larger than life in a world of happiness, abundance and freedom. I like to think of it as an island off the coast of England heading towards Scandinavia, a place that has been undisturbed for many years and is full of the most incredible undiscovered plants and wildlife. I like to try and capture a sense of Pemilyland in my patterns and hope that they will spread a bit of my offbeat outlook into the world and brighten your day.
